Benson Mills, America’s top Table Linens Company, offers the largest and most diverse line of tablecloths and placemats. We are the largest Table Linen Manufacturer in the United States, with a Design Office and Showroom in Manhattan and an office in Brooklyn.
Benson Mills maintains a broad range of accounts with major brick & mortar retailers (e.g., Macy’s, Walmart, TJX). We are seeking a highly motivated salesperson to display organized efficiency and high energy in managing a portfolio of our key accounts. This individual should be meticulously organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a timely manner, meet deadlines, and achieve sales goals. Candidates should possess strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Location may be either 2 days in Brooklyn, 2 days in NYC OR 4 days in Brooklyn, depending on candidate preference, as well as 1 day remote per week.
Position may require occasional out-of-state business trips.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage responsibility for 10-15 medium to large accounts (with growth).
· Cultivate and maintain business relationships, conduct regular meetings with retail buyers, ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
· Plan customer visits to our NYC showroom, give product presentations, offer solutions to business challenges.
· Identify potential for new customers. Research and acquire opportunities for new accounts.
· Develop and execute profitable business and strategic plans for all accounts.
· Curate assortments from our product line or new developments based on the customer’s needs.
· Identify opportunities to collaborate with the product development team in creating plans to drive sales and launch new projects.
· Identify barriers and challenges to profitability and apply problem-solving skills to alleviate complex challenges. Make decisions with available intel to produce effective results.
· Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
· Stay up to date with our full line of home textiles, identify gaps in our portfolio consistent with market demand and offer suggestions for new product development.
Core Competencies
· Comfort in a client-facing role, building relationships through various mediums e.g.: email, phone, in person meetings.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
· Highly motivated and organized.
· Should have above average basic technological computer skills i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent with experience in wholesale imports business.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
